Reporting directly to the Managing Director and leading a small team, you’ll play a key role in ensuring technology is a true enabler of business performance, innovation and growth.
The Role As Head of Business Systems, you will lead the strategic direction, management and support of the organisation's business applications and technology ecosystem.
You’ll balance leadership responsibilities with hands on technical involvement, including troubleshooting complex issues, managing vendors, overseeing system enhancements and ensuring the ongoing stability and performance of critical platforms.
K ey responsibilities will include:
- Leading the management, support and strategic direction of business applications across the organisation.
- Managing and developing the Business Systems Support function and ensuring high standards of service delivery.
- Maintaining the performance, stability and availability of critical business systems.
- Leading complex troubleshooting and root cause analysis while establishing preventative frameworks.
- Overseeing testing, change management and the successful delivery of system enhancements.
- Driving system optimisation, process improvement and technology initiatives that deliver measurable business value.
- Establishing strong documentation, governance, knowledge management and business continuity practices.
- Managing key technology vendors, including POS Systems, covering relationships, SLAs, escalations and contract negotiations.
- Providing leadership and hands-on administration across core platforms including Microsoft 365 and SharePoint.
- Building strong relationships with business stakeholders, technology partners and vendors.
What we are looking for :
- 5–10 years' experience across business systems, application support, deployments and enterprise application management.
- Experience leading business systems or IT support functions in complex operational environments.
- Experience working within a QSR technology team
- Experience within retail, hospitality, franchise or other multi-site operational environments will be highly regarded.
- At least 3 years' experience in IT project management and business analysis, with a track record of delivering technology initiatives successfully.
- Experience with Microsoft technologies, including Microsoft 365 and SharePoint.
- A practical understanding of AI and its application to business systems and process improvement.
- Experience working with enterprise software platforms, digital content management and modern technology ecosystems.
- A solid understanding of APIs, integrations, cloud platforms, web-services architecture and enterprise monitoring tools.
- Strong vendor and product management experience, including contract negotiations and SLA management.
- Excellent troubleshooting and root cause analysis capabilities.
- The ability to translate technical concepts into clear business outcomes and value.
- Outstanding stakeholder management and communication skills.
- A genuine customer service mindset and a passion for building practical, solutions-focused technology teams.
